Armelsan Sponsores Autonomous Naval Systems Industrial Design Competition

ARMELSAN has become the 2018 sponsor of Unmanned/Autonomous Naval Systems Industrial Design Competition which aims to support the design of remote controlled and/or autonomous sea surface and underwater systems.

Participants will be able to work with systems of underwater warfare, sea surface warfare, detection-surveillance, SAR, mine hunting-detection-destruction; remote controlled, autonomous underwater and surface systems.

The goal of the designs in the competition is to reinterpret the relation between form and function and bring the application and operational limits beyond the known current boundaries.

As different features can be implemented at different scales no size limitations have been imposed on the competition. Taking into consideration the form and function relation, the height/width/length ratios have been left to the initiative of the designers.
